I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t completely obsessed with spirituality and personal growth.  At my core, I’m constantly aiming to shine brighter and live more fully. Over the years, I’ve found inspiration and guidance from a vast number of sources….children, the ocean, poetry, Oprah, etc.   As an adult (especially a mom), I feel like I needed more guidance than ever and I got it in the form of books/lectures/videos/workshops from some of the most recognized spiritual teachers of our time.

Here are the spiritual teachers who have had the biggest impact on my life and why I think they can help you on your journey as well.

1. Dr. Wayne Dyer

Wayne Dyer has written 40 books in almost as many years but I didn’t experience him for myself until 2010 when I watched The Shift–a movie that explores the spiritual journey from ambition to meaning.  I’ve since listened to countless lectures, read a few of his books, listen to his Hay House Radio show regularly and met him in person.

If you are looking for a mystical, hilarious, empowering teacher whose philosophy intersects with any faith–you might want to check him out. He’s my favorite.

His main message is that it is possible for every person to live an extraordinary life. What’s more, it is possible for every person to manifest their deepest desires — if they honor their inner divinity and consciously choose to live from their “Highest Self.”

2. Cheryl Richardson

Cheryl introduced me to the art of self-care back in 2012-13–a time that I desperately needed to learn about setting boundaries and stop putting my needs last.  I’ve met her in person and recommend The Art of Extreme Self-Care: Transform Your Life One Month at a Time to any woman who struggles to make time for herself.

Self-care is good for the planet….When we care deeply for ourselves, we naturally begin to care for others – our families, our friends, our greater global community, and the environment – in a healthier and more effective way. We tell the truth. We make choices from love instead of guilt and obligation. And we soon realize that we’re all connected and that our individual actions affect a greater whole.

3. Dr. Christiane Northrup

Dr. Northrup teaches women how to thrive at every stage of life.  I look at her as a role model and kinda like a spiritual midwife helping women to birth their best selves.  She not only has answers to all those intimate questions you’re too afraid to google, she’s inspiring a mind/body revolution.
True health is only possible when we understand the unity of our minds, emotions, spirits, and physical bodies and stop striving for perfection.” – Christiane Northrup, MD

4. Robert Holden Ph.D

I was introduced to the work of Robert Holden via The Happiness Project.  He’s a life coach who has studied happiness and can tell you the exact steps you need to take to live an authentically happy life–he also has a dreamy accent.

5. Davidji

For more than 12 years davidji has helped thousands of people around the world to be more reflective and less reflexive, make better decisions, sleep better, enhance their relationships, experience abundance, and live a purpose-driven life.

I love listening to davidji riff on life as much as I enjoy his guided meditations.  He has the most beautiful voice and his techniques for connecting to Source can help you navigate the most stressful of situations.

After Wayne Dyer came into my life, I discovered the others through their mutual association with Hay House and I couldn’t be happier that they will all be in my city next week for I Can Do It Denver 2015!  This will be my second time attending an I Can Do It! conference and I couldn’t be more excited to spend a few days reigniting my life with my favorite Hay House authors and community.

If you are unable to attend (or don’t have an event accessible to you) feel free to follow along on social media or check out HayHouse.com for all kinds of life-enhancing goodness.
