What I Wore: Fourth of July Fashion, Family, and Food

Food, fun, festivities, and fireworks are the stuff Independence Day is made of in America.  I proudly rocked the red, white, and blue in celebration of our country.  Opting for a classic, functional look that involved as little layers of clothing as possible considering the Texas temperatures.

When it comes to dressing festively, I always coordinate my outfit with whatever colors are appropriate instead of buying seasonal clothes that I can’t wear any other time.  It saves money and allows for more creativity.

Our day began with a neighborhood kid parade.

My day ended with an epic firework show and a sangria-induced slumber.  🙂

How was your Fourth?  What did you wear?  Let me know in the comments.

  1. Lookin’ good, Valerie!  We jumped on a truck in the Plano parade, just like last year. The ONLY day of the year I wear those colors.
