Pixie Dust Mickey Manicure #DisneySMMoms

Disney Social Media Moms Celebration 2012 is 1.5 months away and I’ve been excitedly thinking about what I’ll pack to wear in and in addition to all of the other planning involved, I managed to whip up a fun little vacation-friendly manicure. You can do this yourself at home or tweak it any way you like but this one is designed to be chip-proof for up to 2 weeks (mine lasted that long until my nails grew out and I was ready for a new color). It’s got pixie dust power thanks to Sally Hansen Nail Strips and just enough Mickey to be stylish yet not corny.

You could use whatever color combinations float your boat but I used black nail polish for the mouse head–1 big dot with the brush and 2 little ones (I practiced on a piece of cardboard before attempting it on my actual nail–I may update with a tutorial if anyone needs one). I also read about a lady in a Disney forum that used a sharpie to do a mouse head and painted over it with top coat. It also goes with the current ring finger nail polish trend.

Anyone planning a spring break or summer trip to Disney world? I can’t believe I just went last year and am going again (still haven’t told the kid yet so if you know me in real life–hush).
