How To Wear Yellow Shoes

Remember almost a year ago when I proclaimed that blue shoes are the new red shoe?  Well, for Summer 2011, I’m starting to think that yellow shoes are the new outfit-popping colour for stylish  feet.  I love yellow shoes because they are bright and cheery and will look amazing with your natural tan or a sunshine-induced one.  I also love that you can find them anywhere from Target to Neiman’s.  Don’t worry if you thing you are style-challenged because I have a few tips to help you wear yellow shoes with confidence.

Wear them with neutrals.  Black, tan, gray, off-white, white, etc.   All would look lovely paired with yellow shoes and are a great way to dip your foot into this trend.

Try subtle yellow accessories like yellow nail polish, a bracelet, or necklace for a touch of extra yellow oomph.

Coordinate with complementary colors like gray, navy, and purple.  All of which will not only take a back seat to yellow’s sunshiny-brightness but also give you a beautiful color palette like those you see at Anthropologie. 😉

Here are some stylish casual outfit ideas for wearing your yellow shoes this summer:
