What To Wear: Chic Halloween-Inspired Outfits

I love holidays and themes and dressing up but I rarely buy seasonal shirts that can’t/won’t be worn after the holiday (in this case Halloween) has passed.  My reasoning is that I don’t want the same shirt on in ALL of my pictures every year and I prefer plain, versatile pieces because they allow for lots of creative interpretation.  Whether you just want to look festive, are a room-mom at your child’s school party, or have a Halloween event to go to (that isn’t necessarily costume-attire), it can be tricky trying to plan what to wear.  Here are a few ideas.

{Step 1} Scan your closet for Orange & Black clothes

I chose a black long-sleeved lace shirt with an orange fitted t-shirt.  There were so many options for bottoms–black leggings, skirt, shorts, skinny jeans, slacks, flared jeans etc.

{Step 2} Find coordinating accesssories.

I found a black necklace, black rosettes, cuff bracelets, earrings, black pumps, black boots, and zebra flats.

{Step 3} Play around and make it work!

The options are endless really, I found so many great options and am looking forward to rocking Halloween outfits all week!

The long-sleeve lace shirt is from Charlotte Russe and was $10!  Watch for it in an upcoming post/video featuring this shirt because it is so versatile and, as I keep saying, lace is a big Fall 2010 trend.
