Hello to all the “lunch ladies” from What’s for Lunch Wednesday that I’ve linked up with!
I have mentioned my love of bento-ing before and now that my son is in summer camp (and I’m getting ready for back-to-school) I’ve been branching out a little with the lunches I make for him. Summer hasn’t meant less lunchpacking for me, I still bento all the time. It’s been useful on vacation, road trips, plane rides, zoo visits, playdates, etc….for BOTH of us.
Those croissants were meant to look like a baseball and soccer ball (don’t laugh!) and even though they fall short of my own expectations, my little sports lover LOVES them and more importantly he EATS them
The pasta salad was leftover from dinner and post that recipe later.
Stuffed Mini-Croissant Recipe (I use that term recipe loosely )
1 package of Pillsbury croissant rounds (I think that’s what they were called)
shredded cheddar cheese
chopped hot dog
Just slice the dough in the middle (individually) and stuff it with cheese and hot dog. You could also use different cheeses, meats, and veggies. I cooked them in a muffin tin because they weren’t perfect circles after I’d stuffed them. I also plan on trying this with a mini-muffin tin so it can rise and be more ball-like.
