Fall 2010 printable Color Cheatsheet & 5 reasons why you NEED it #31DBBB

just click, print, & use this as a guide to Fall 2010

Are you in the mood for Fall Fantasy 2010 yet?

Remember our old friend the Color Palette?  Well  here is the Fall 2010 version.  It plays very well with the Spring Colors (which is good news for your budget).

Why is this list helpful?

  1. guiding your purchasing decisions
  2. taking inventory of your current wardrobe
  3. nail polish and cosmetics colors
  4. if you are a craftinista and will be making your own clothing and accessories
  5. just knowing how to wear and combine colors WILL dramatically up your style quotient

“Building on the color palette from spring, this season’s offerings include innovative takes on fundamental basics, as well as transporting, lively colors that conjure images of travel and adventure, whether real or aspirational.”

Lagoon+all shades of red

Living Coral+Lagoon

Endive + Lagoon

Endive + Purple Orchid

Lagoon is this season’s turquoise and you should look to make your outfits pop with lagoon-colored accessories.

Lipstick red looks a like a more playful, flirty, pinky-red to me and I love it.  Look for this color in cosmetics.

Oyster Gray, a classic neutral that grounds the palette, is a lighter take on the traditional fall gray, as designers heed consumers’ concern about the economy and deliver investment pieces that carry through to spring 2011.

Here are some more palette-inspiring posts:

Tomorrow, we will build on this with some great transitional pieces!

  1. Hi! I’m visiting from #31DBBB. What an informational post! I have to say, I have NO idea when it comes to fashion/colors or anything. 🙂

What I like most about this post is that you TELL me how the list is going to help me. That is awesome!

  2. Very pretty colors for fall. Some of them are my absolute favorite colors. I’m certainly no fashionista. 🙂

    Another SITS girl checking in.

  3. I LOVE color. I own EVERY color deck from Benjamin Moore because you never know when you want to re-paint a room.

Thank you for posting such pretty options for these color combos. I can’t wait to see what is coming up next!
